On March 14, 2004, the PBO passed:

-- A Resolution to Lift the Requirements for Preceptors to be Diplomates of PBO:
BE IT RESOLVED, therefore, as it is hereby resolved, that graduates of preceptorship programs will be allowed to take the PBO Examination even if their preceptors are not Diplomates so as to to deprive their graduates of the opportunity to elevate themselves to the "Diplomate" status.

-- A Resolution to Grant Exemptions to Graduates of Accredited Universities
BE IT RESOLVED, therefore, as it is hereby resolved, that graduates of full time postgraduate orthodontic programs of accredited universities will only be required to take the Phase IV examination to facilitate the process of attaining the "Diplomate" status.

Phase II: Written Examination
Examination Date: July 30, 2008
Application Deadline: June 25, 2008
Application Fee: P4,000.00

Phase III / IV: Presentation of 5/10 Clinical Cases
Examination Date: January 30, 2008
Application Deadline: October 31, 2007
Application Fee: P4,500.00 / P5,000.00
